Q: Is NEET PG going to be scrapped?

A: Union Health Minister has confirmed that NEET PG will be scrapped only three years after the enactment of NMC Bill. NEXT will replace the NEET PG exam.

A: According to the exam pattern of NEET PG 2024, the question will have 200 MCQ based questions.

A: Yes, for every wrong answer given by the candidate 1 mark will be deducted.

A: The exam is conducted in English language only.

A: There will be provision for OBC candidates of state quota of IP University to exercise their right of OBC reservation in IP University seats while they will be treated as UR (General Category) in All India Quota.

Q: Can a candidate remit the Registration Fee and Security Deposit from NRI Account?

A: No, since MCC cannot, as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Rules, refund security deposit to NRI Account. If the candidate wants to use the funds available in his/ her NRI Account for registering for counselling, he / she has to first transfer funds from NRI Account to NRO Account and from NRO Account to MCC. The refund from MCC will be credited to NRO Account only.

Q: How can I change my address in NEET application form?

A: The correction window of NEET application form can be used to change the address. Though the details can be edited using the correction window, candidates are advised to fill the application form carefully and check the details thoroughly before submitting it.

Q: How can I be sure that NTA has received the application fee?

A: This confirmation page that opens up after the payment has been processed successfully is a confirmation that the NEET application fee has been received by the NTA. Save and print this page for future reference.

Q: What is the attempt limit for NEET PG?

A: There is no limit to the number of attempts in NEET PG 2024.

Q: How many seats are offered through NEET PG 2024?

A: In the course of Master of Surgery 13,600+, Doctor of Medicine 29,900+, PG Diploma 950+ seats and 4440+ DNB/FNB seats will be offered through NEET PG 2024.

Q: Which institutes do not accept admissions through NEET PG?

A: AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS, PGIMER (Chandigarh), JIPMER (Puducherry), NIMHANS (Bengaluru) and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum are the institutes which do not accept NEET scores.

Q: Do I require any documents to get registered on-line for MCC counselling?

A: You will be required to fill up some of the information that you have given (filled up) in your NEET PG application form, and submitted to National Board Examinations (NBE), New Delhi.

Q: How much time should be given to each question?

A: A total of 200 questions are there in the NEET exam. In order to improve time management, one should assign one minute to each question.

Q: What is the pattern of the NEET UG exam?

A: The Test pattern of NEET (UG) - 2024 comprises four Subjects. Each subject will consist of two sections. Section A will consist of 35 Questions and Section B will have 15 Questions, out of these 15 Questions, candidates can choose to attempt any 10 Questions.

Q: How to avoid negative marking in the exam?

A: Stay clear of guesses. Do not answer a question if you are not sure about it. Stay calm before answering the questions. One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

A: NEET exam will be in offline mode. (Pen and paper mode).
